PAIN LINK Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Replacement
March 23, 2008Northern Kentucky thrash metallers PAIN LINK have announced the departure of original drummer Dave Bauer. According to the band, "Dave joined PAIN LINK in 2002 and played countless shows, lived through the highs and lows of rock 'n' roll, and knocked out three CDs with us. The group continues, "It's with much enthusiasm we'd like to announce the newest member of PAIN LINK. Kevin 'Karnage' Coyle is the new monster behind the kit. Kevin has been playing drums for many years and has played drums in several local bands. His playing is intense and will definitely add a new texture to our sound. Some of his influences are: Trym (ZYKLON, EMPEROR, ENSLAVED),Nicholas Barker (BENEDICTION, DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH),Martin Lopez (OPETH, AMON AMARTH),Reno H. Kiilerich (OLD MAN'S CHILD),Akira Jimbo, Tjodalv, Gerhard Storesund, Horgh, to name just a few. We're very excited to have Kevin on board and can't wait for everyone to hear the new lineup."
